Ralph Fredericks, CPA

Founding partner of the firm, Ralph has been in the profession for over 40 years starting as a staff auditor and later getting promoted to a manager of the firm’s small business and technical review departments of a top 20 CPA firm, before establishing R.A. Fredericks & Company, LLP back in 1982.  As the managing partner, he is in charge of the review and supervision of all auditing and accounting engagements and manages the tax compliance engagements of the firm’s closely-held businesses.

Ralph began his career with a “Big 8” CPA firm, upon graduating from Bloomfield College in 1971, with a BA in Accounting. While in college he became President of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity (a National Business Fraternity) in 1970. He later worked for a medium sized CPA firm where he became a Manager and learned the technical side of servicing businesses and individuals accounting and tax needs.

Ralph is a CPA, licensed in New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on various Boards of Advisors and holds position of Treasurer in a public company.

Ellen O'Donnell, CPA

Ellen began her career upon graduating from Seton Hall University with a B.A. in Accounting in 1987, with R. A. Fredericks & Company, LLP. Starting as a staff accountant she advanced to become the partner in charge of all attestation engagements. Her assignments range from all types of commercial businesses, with special emphasis on single audits (Yellow Book) and not-for-profit entities. She is also in charge of our IT department and is familiar with all accounting software products, including MAS-90 and e-Finesstri. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Currently licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey (license number 18671).

Ted Clausen, CPA, MBA, CFE, CGMA

Ted joined the firm in 2010 with more than 40 years of accounting, audit and fraud investigation experience.  Ted provides audit, consulting, and special project/examination services to the firm’s client base.  

His career began with a “Big 8” CPA firm, interrupted by four years as an Officer in the US Navy.  He transitioned to Internal Audit as Department Manager of a domestic oil and gas organization, followed by 25 years as a Regional Director of Internal Audit for a multinational chemicals/coatings conglomerate.  

A graduate of Upsala College with a B.A. in Accounting and an MBA in Accounting and International Business from Seton Hall University; Ted has taught accounting, auditing and business systems at the university level as well as the Becker CPA Review.  Ted is a CPA, licensed in New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Ted is also a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and a chartered global management accountant (CGMA).

Rita Lungren, PA

Rita joined R.A. Fredericks & Co., LLP in 2004.  She brings to the firm’s client base the benefit of more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, providing accounting and tax services to corporations, partnerships, and individuals.  Her other areas of concentration include use and knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software, financial analysis, and sales tax filings. Rita also directs the document proofreading department. 

Rita holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DeSales University (1987).

Ellen Walker, PA

Ellen joined R.A. Fredericks & Co., LLP in 2008.  A graduate of the University of Delaware, she brings to the firm's client base the benefit of more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, providing accounting services to a diverse client base of companies and individuals. Her other areas of concentration include use and knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software, tax consulting, and advisory services to corporations and individuals.

Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Delaware (1989). Ellen is listed in the IRS Public Directory of Tax Return Preparers.

DIRECTOR OF FIDUCIARY COMPLIANCE

J. William Vonder Fecht, PA

Bill has been associated with R.A. Fredericks & Company, LLP for over 20 years, specializing in Fiduciary Services, including estate and trust accountings. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, he brings to the firm's client base the knowledge of fiduciary accounting and federal estate tax compliance. Having over 35 years of experience in the private sector and the last 10 years in public accounting, Bill is diverse in the use and knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software. A former controller and CFO, Bill has the depth and knowledge of how small to medium size business operate and has directed all accounting and finance functions and computer operations.
